"HOPE: Homeless Are People" is a European Union funded project in the framework of the European Solidarity Corps programme, run by Latgalian young people supported by Miromida. Its aim is to raise public awareness and change attitudes towards homeless people, building solidarity and empathy. We want to reduce stereotypes and stigma associated with homeless people by highlighting their life stories, dreams and potential. We are going to make interviews with homeless people, organise a charity campaign and an image transformation with a hairdresser and a stylist, offer a professional photo shooting and finally organize a meeting with potential employers for giving possible employment opportunities that would promote social integration.
