At our recent LadyLeader storytelling club we met with the incredible women volunteering at Hospiss LV, who support people living with untreated illnesses.These women give so much to others, yet they also shared how sometimes they themselves feel the need for change in their own lives. But the decision can feel so heavy that it almost becomes an inner cramp.
One insight stayed with us:
Change does not always start with knowing exactly what to replace it with — that can feel like exchanging one cramp for another.
Sometimes a strong woman simply needs a pause.
A moment for herself.
To create space — so that something new can enter. 💜
LadyLeader Stories is a KA2 Small-Scale Partnership project coordinated by Landsbyggdin lífi - Farsæld til framtíðar (Iceland) in a partnership with InterArt Foundation (Bulgaria) and Miromida (Latvia). The project aims to empower women in rural and disadvantaged areas by equipping them with leadership skills, storytelling techniques, and emotional intelligence tools to foster civic engagement, self-confidence, and active participation in their communities.
